I like silent films. I like mystery. So I have watched a modern silent adaptation of Lovecraft classics, and I should say that this is a really good film, and the greatest part of it is its mood. "Call of Cthulhu" should be silent. So it's emotional, sometimes even reminds of german expressionism, and the music is also great, by the way. And there's obviously no feeling that the film is too long -- this story is perfectly told in 40 minutes. Actor's performance is great (they are too emotional, but it's silent film, so it's an advantage). If you like Lovecraft, if you like silent films, if you like horror classics, if you like something unusual -- you should
check it out.
Yes, this is a really short review, I know... But it still has nothing to do with
The Code of Kain.
